MORRISTOWN, NJ, UNITED STATES, January 1, 2025 -- Main Street Ministry (MSM), a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering hope, healing, and resilience for those facing trauma and trauma-induced anxiety and grief, is proud to announce its membership with the National Alliance for Children’s Grief (NACG). This strategic and well-aligned connection marks a significant milestone in MSM’s mission to provide accessible grief support to children and families, regardless of socioeconomic background or location.
The National Alliance for Children’s Grief (NACG) is a leading organization dedicated to raising awareness about the needs of grieving children and enhancing the resources available to support them. By joining NACG, Main Street Ministry (MSM) aligns itself with a network of professionals, educators, and organizations committed to ensuring that no child grieves alone. This partnership strengthens MSM’s ability to develop impactful programs, integrate best practices in grief support, and expand in-person and virtual services to reach children and families regardless of socioeconomic status or geographic location. The synergy between MSM’s trauma-informed, community-centered approach and NACG’s national advocacy and research creates new opportunities for collaboration, education, and the advancement of grief care for all.
"Joining the National Alliance for Children's Grief marks a pivotal step in Main Street Ministry’s mission to ensure that no child or family navigates loss without the support they deserve," said Samantha Dreger, CEO of Main Street Ministry. "This partnership not only strengthens our ability to serve children of all backgrounds—regardless of financial barriers or geographic location—but also opens doors for future collaborations to expand our reach. Through innovative programs, including virtual support and educational initiatives, we are committed to building a more resilient future for grieving families everywhere."
Through its membership with NACG, MSM gains access to the latest research, best practices, and collaborative opportunities with other leading grief support organizations nationwide. MSM, with its existing framework that includes the TAGS Program (Trauma, Anxiety, Grief Support), Grief and Bereavement Support, Crisis and Incident Response, PTSD and Combat-Related PTSD Support, Trauma-Informed Community and Workplace Support Services, Human Trafficking Recovery and PTSD Services, and Faith-Based Healing Programs, MSM will strategically participate in NACG-led initiatives, contribute to national discussions on childhood grief, and work alongside fellow member organizations to elevate the importance of accessible grief care.
By integrating these gained resources into its existing framework, MSM aims to bridge the gap for children and families who often struggle to find adequate bereavement support, ensuring they receive compassionate, faith-based, and trauma-informed care regardless of financial barriers or geographic location.
